Steptoe Advises Stratos on Xantic Acquisition

Steptoe attorneys from the Washington, Phoenix, London, and Brussels offices served as lead counsel on Stratos Global Corporation’s acquisition of Xantic B.V. for approximately $200 million.  The Steptoe team advised Stratos on securities offerings, US aspects of a major loan refinancing, and worldwide competition clearances.  Xantic was the third-largest provider to satellite telecommunications operator, Inmarsat.  Stratos now accounts for 44% of Inmarsat's mobile satellite telecommunications revenue and has increased its presence in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
