Courts Rule on Product, Tobacco Exclusions for Liggett Group

In Liggett Group, we represented our client against the policyholder’s claims that its general liability insurance policies provided coverage for tobacco-related bodily injury claims, the first time that a court made substantive rulings on the availability of liability coverage for tort suits against the tobacco industry.  At both the trial level and in the Delaware Supreme Court, the courts agreed that the product and tobacco exclusions in our clients’ policies precluded coverage.
