Business Development Manager: Regulatory & Industry Practices
Responsibilities include monitoring target markets, coordinating business development strategies; assisting attorneys with presentation/proposals; writing, editing and producing print and online marketing communication material. Develop and provide support for business development programs that build the firm’s regulatory and industry practices (antitrust, energy, environment, nanotechnologies, natural resources and transportation). Develop and manage business development budgets for the practices. Manage conferences, sponsorships, seminars, speaking engagements, and events in collaboration with the event team. Provide communications assistance for attorney and practice-level sales efforts including presentations, RFPs and new business proposals. Help develop individual and practice group plans and provide one-on-one BD coaching as needed. Provide leadership on programmatic marketing efforts that cut across departments and practices. 5-7 years of experience in a professional services environment including law firm experience, with strong strategic business development focus and familiarity with effective sales in a legal environment. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading. BA/BS in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications required.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and application components in a large Microsoft Windows Server environment with other members of the Network Engineering team. Execution of new projects through project initiation, architecture, requirements analysis, design, project management and systems integration phases. Developing and implementing solutions to optimize the mail and messaging environment to improve availability, capacity, and scalability. Exchange 2010/2013 experience, must include the management of a multi DAG (Database Availability Group) structure, configuration of Exchange Send/Receive connectors and mail routing topology, administration of an OWA (Outlook Web Access) infrastructure, heavy use of Exchange Powershell commands and support of Outlook 2010 client issues. This role includes a heavy emphasis on supporting the Firm’s messaging applications including Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013, Microsoft Lync 2012, EAS, Mailgate, Mimecast. Experience with INSZoom a plus. Minimum 2 years of administrative or office experience required.
New Matter Billing Intake Assistant
Responsibilities include entering client and matter data in various firm databases, filing and scanning of department’s paperwork, screening forms prior to action by other department members, routing documents in electronic and hard copy, and communicating with Firm attorneys and staff. Successful candidate must be a detail-oriented problem solver, be able to meet daily deadlines while maintaining excellent organizational and interpersonal communications skills, and be a willing team player. Administrative experience required, legal administrative experience a plus. Database experience, a plus. The candidate should have, at minimum, an undergraduate college degree. Availability to work overtime.
Responsibilities include the management of the company’s security systems. The Security Engineer/Analyst will help design, implement and support secure system architectures in a large ever changing environment. This individual will monitor, analyze and optimize security alerts and events for all enterprise security infrastructure technologies. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent certification from an accredited technical training school or equivalent (4 years) experience in general MIS/computer support. CISSP preferred, other security certifications a plus. 5+ years of experience with security systems and tools design and troubleshooting. Must be experienced with Networking, Security, Firewalls, Network and host-based IDS/IPS, Web security, Network Traffic Analysis, 3-5 years’ experience in security solutions using current monitoring technologies such as: McAfee NitroSecurity SEIM, Cisco IPS appliances, Symantec EPS.
Public Relations Coordinator
Responsibilities include assisting with the implementation of various public relations programs that advance the firm’s strategic goals and build name recognition in key practice areas, industries, and markets. Work in collaboration with the firm’s public relations, business development, and marketing team colleagues. Support and execute day-to-day PR activities firm wide, such as drafting and posting content for the news and publications sections of the firm’s website, tracking news coverage, maintaining editorial calendars, drafting press releases, source advisories, and nominations, placing by-lined articles, assisting with survey submissions, and managing the firm’s Twitter account. Strong writing skills with superb attention to detail and the ability to proofread are essential. Must have excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments, and deliver solid results while working under pressure. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Exhibits good judgment, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion. Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or similar discipline required, as well as 2-4 years of professional experience. Knowledge of AP Stylebook preferred. Knowledge of legal marketing a plus.
Responsibilities include installing, upgrading, maintaining and troubleshooting desktop workstation and peripheral hardware using standardized procedures. Training IT staff and end users on usage of hardware. Tracking hardware and software inventory and developing and generating reports as needed for Firm management. Coordinating with hardware service vendors for repair and maintenance of all desktop workstation hardware and peripherals. Coordinating with Network Engineers in inventory, maintenance and repairs for network infrastructure and server hardware. Coordinating all video conferencing setups with all parties both internal and external. Maintain internal video conferencing equipment. Working with outside vendors to improve current systems. Performing routine system and user administration for Firm’s network operating systems, email systems, databases, fax servers and other networked systems and applications. Working with Systems Software Analysts to update workstation images to support various hardware configurations. Drafting documentation on systems, policies and procedures for usage by technical and non-technical personnel. Impeccable communication and organizational skills: excellence in both written and oral communications whether in person, on the phone, or email; able to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines; able to organize self and work environment for efficiency and ready access to critical information. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent certification from an accredited technical training school or equivalent (4 years) experience in general MIS/computer support.
