Senior Business Development Coordinator
Responsibilities include providing practice specific marketing and business development support for eight practice groups in the firm’s Litigation Department. The Senior Coordinator supports and works directly with the Senior Business Development Manager for this department. Essential functions include writing, editing and maintaining lawyer and practice profiles; internal and external publications; matter lists; drafting client proposals and writing tailored RFP responses; coordinating reprints of publications; posting internal and external communications to the intranet and website; preparing submissions for key directory rankings; maintaining experience database for litigation matters; facilitating the use of mailing lists and CRM; as well as supporting other business development efforts and firm initiatives.
Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day tasks associated with our Verizon Center and Nationals Stadium suites. Responsible for monitoring ticket usage, answering inquiries related to availability, placing food-beverage orders, managing bills associated with tickets and catering orders etc. Excellent computer skills (i.e., full facility with MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint), outstanding communication skills, superior organizational skills, and demonstrated commitment to team work required. Some college preferred. Able to work 10-15 hour per week.
IP Filing Specialist
Candidate should have 1 plus years of patent prosecution experience. Duties include preparing applications, amendments, Information Disclosure Statements and responses with USPTO, drafting correspondence to clients and foreign associates and other tasks as assigned. Applicants should be detail-oriented with good organizational and interpersonal skills and be able to work well under time constants and in a team environment. Excellent computer skills (i.e., full facility with MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint), outstanding communication skills, superior organizational skills, and demonstrated commitment to team work required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and complete under time constraints and frequent interruptions. Must have knowledge of IP practice area, particularly patent practice and the ability to exercise good judgment and work independently.
Senior Financial Analyst
Responsibilities include preparing practice group profitability, practice group expense, and office financial reports on a monthly basis. Prepare responses to intermittent requests from PGLs. General Finance Department support. Ability to understand and interpret the firm’s financial statements, perform analysis on financial information and efficiently communicate this analysis results with other members of the finance team, practice group leaders, and marketing. Strong MS Excel skills; experience with MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to learn new software quickly with little oversight. Ability to work independently on project oriented tasks under stringent deadlines. Knowledge of accounting and automated accounting systems preferred but not required. Experience with MS Query/Sequel preferred. Experience with Elite, Clarity or similar (Hyperion, Oracle) preferred but not required. Four year College degree in Finance or Accounting, or a candidate in his/her last semester preparing for college graduation. 3-6 years of experience in financial analyses and/or related field.
Responsibilities include supporting the Senior Business Development Manager, Business Solutions in handling the business development needs of the firm’s transactional practices and the GAPP, through the preparation of materials and execution of research projects, the development of marketing promotional materials, assistance with the planning and execution of firm-wide, internal, and external events, and assistance with other marketing initiatives as assigned. The Marketing Assistant will also be responsible for assisting with the management of firm events and the distribution of firm tickets, and will be assisting with administrative tasks for the Department. BA/BS: Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, English, or similar discipline required. At least 2 years of professional experience (internship experience will be considered).
IP Legal Administrative/Executive Assistant
Seeking an IP Legal Administrative/Executive Assistant who will assist with patent prosecution in a growing IP practice group. Qualified candidates will have one to five years of IP experience and will have an understanding of IP prosecution and docketing. The position requires reviewing and managing daily dockets and deadlines, preparing USPTO filings for patent applications, maintaining prosecution files, and client billing. Trademark experience is a plus. Senior Business Development Manager
Responsibilities include providing business and marketing development support to attorneys in the firm’s tax, corporate, finance, bankruptcy, and government affairs practices (and supports other practices as needed). With assistance from others in Marketing, the incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing the business development and marketing initiatives of those practice areas. Responsibilities include individual business development coaching, development of marketing collateral, support for presentations and pitches, and responding to RFPs. The position is also responsible for managing the relevant content of internal database repositories and online media resources, including social media. Bachelor’s degree required. Must have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of marketing experience in a professional services environment, preferably with a law firm.

Responsible for management of the business functions as well as the overall operations of the Palo Alto office working cooperatively, consultatively, constructively and proactively with managing partners as well as DC-based firm management team. Responsibilities include providing leadership in support of an efficient, diverse, respectful work environment; ensuring compliance with all state and local laws, regulations and requirements; carrying out management directives, policies, procedures, and general practices to attain continuity and consistency; managing administrative staff directly or jointly with DC department directors. College degree in business administration management, finance, human resources, technology or comparable work experience.
