Paralegal
Provide support to the Immigration Practice Group in preparation and filing of petitions and applications with federal government agencies. Assist in such tasks as: preparing routine correspondence, researching immigration law and procedures and case management. Play a significant role in gathering information from clients and assisting with immigration strategies. Collect information and documentation from clients. Prepare draft filings to relevant federal and state agencies.  Conduct research of immigration law and procedures. Prepare draft correspondence and memoranda.  Enter case information into web-based case management system.  Track the status of filings and inform the client of any follow up that may be necessary. Train support staff on immigration practice and procedures.  Minimum of two years of immigration paralegal experience preparing non-immigrant (e.g., H-1B, L-1, E-2, O-1) and immigrant (PERM and EB-1) filings.  Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and communication (oral and written) skills.   Strong written and oral communication skills.   Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on ability to work with a team;.  Strong skills in working on multiple projects.  Flexibility for overtime and willingness to travel.   BS/BA degree required.  Paralegal Certificate a plus. Some lifting required up to 20 lbs. Hours -  9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, with overtime as required.

Project Assistant
Assist attorneys and paralegals with routine tasks such as filing court documents; document collection, production, maintaining case files, creating indices, handling bates labeling projects, providing quality checks, drafting cover letters, updating and maintaining databases, deposition and trail preparation.  Summarize testimony and obtain material at congressional or agency hearings.  Excellent oral and written communications skills.  4 year college degree required.

Trainee Lawyers / Paralegals
Our busy Brussels office seeks Trainees/Paralegals to support all four of its practice areas: Competition/Antitrust and State Aid; Environment, Life Sciences and Nanotechnology; Financial Services, Insurance; and Trade. Candidates must hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in law. Those also holding a Bar qualification will be given priority. We particularly welcome candidates with experience and a willingness to work in more than one of our practice areas. Positions are offered for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension thereafter for exceptional candidates. 

Candidates must be good team-players who can also work independently when required. In addition to client projects, the work includes participation in marketing and business development initiatives.

The successful candidates will be fluent in English. Fluency in other languages would be an advantage.
