Legislative Assistant
Steptoe, a DC-based AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Legislative Assistant to join its DC government relations practice.  Interested candidates must have a college degree, minimum of 2 years of related legislative or political experience (Capitol Hill experience preferred), and excellent research, writing and analytical skills.  The successful candidate will assist members of Steptoe’s government affairs and public policy practice group, monitoring and analyzing legislative, regulatory, and political developments for a wide variety of clients.  Day-to-day tasks will involve researching public policy issues, covering Congressional hearings, writing memos, arranging and coordinating meetings on the Hill, and attending some staff-level meetings on the Hill.  For consideration please submit a cover letter, resume, and transcript to Legal_Recruiting@steptoe.com.  Principals only!
