Overview
Jacob Bell's practice focuses on international arbitration. He has experience in arbitrations arising under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and provides support in court proceedings in aid of arbitration, including seeking discovery pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1782. Jacob is active in Steptoe's pro bono practice where he represents tenants facing eviction in landlord-tenant court.
During law school, Jacob was a law clerk for the House Committee on Oversight and Reform and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Jacob previously worked as a political appointee in the U.S. Department of Commerce and a program officer at a Washington, D.C. think tank.
