Overview
Steptoe associate Karen Bruni was profiled by Bloomberg Law in a feature titled “They've Got Next: Energy Fresh Face Karen Bruni." Bruni was recognized for representing Public Service Enterprise Group in selling its fleet of 13 fossil-fuel plants to a private equity firm for approximately $1.9 billion. The New Jersey-based energy company will now rely on nuclear plants and offshore wind farms as it decarbonizes its operations.
"She's so versatile—she's just as comfortable in sort of weedy regulatory issues as she is in litigation," said Dan Mullen, Steptoe partner and co-chair of the firm’s Energy Practice Group. "She can pivot just as easily from electricity to gas to oil to renewables to financial trading at the drop of a hat. That makes her such a valuable member of the team."
"They've Got Next," spotlights young lawyers who are raising the bar in various practice groups. The full profile can be read at Bloomberg Law.
