The Firm: This acclaimed firm is credited with having “plenty of bench strength,” which clients argue “makes it excellent for large, complex litigation.” This high-stakes work involves many diverse exposures. Its list of recent engagements includes asbestos, tobacco, products liability, lead paint, pharmaceutical, D&O liability and environmental contamination claims. Sources praise its “imaginative and creative” attorneys, agreeing: “They are staffed appropriately, well organized, accessible and attentive to our needs.” The firm recently opened an office in Chicago to expand its national presence. Of particular advantage to clients is the fact that they are “all top-flight litigators in court.” The firm has a burgeoning reinsurance practice, mediating, arbitrating and litigating cases for reinsurers, brokers and intermediaries, and is continuing to broaden its client base in this area.
