Steptoe's Electric Power practice, which is widely recognized to be one of the largest and most diverse in the United States, spans federal and state public utility regulation, antitrust counseling and litigation, regulatory approvals for mergers, divestitures, and other complex transactions, regulation under the Federal Power Act, hydroelectric regulation, regulation of Qualifying Facilities, Exempt Wholesale Generators and Foreign Utility Companies.

It also includes the development and administration of contractual arrangements for the full range of transactions involving electric power sales, joint ownership or use of facilities, transmission, and power coordination arrangements.
