Barr Quoted in Wall Street Journal

The June 17, 2005, Wall Street Journal article “KPMG Apologizes for Tax Shelters” describes the accounting firm’s recent contrition as reflecting “a broader change in attitude among corporations facing regulatory scrutiny, with many racing to cooperate by turning over damaging information and jettisoning culpable employees.” 

Former federal prosecutor Evan Barr, now in Steptoe’s New York office, summarized this sea change: "After Andersen, everybody knows they have to comply or face devastation. The consequences of resistance are too great."
