Question of Privilege

Adam Greaves, head of our International Dispute Resolution practice in  London, has written an opinion on a recent decision by the highest court in  England, the House of Lords, which on  11 November 2004 handed down its judgment on one of the most important legal practice issues it has recently considered: the extent of legal privilege in English law.

Mr. Greaves analyses the key points of the Three Rivers case—the distinction between litigation and legal advice privilege—and includes key background material and telling quotes from the published judgement.
