Overview
The Hill quoted Jason Abel in an April 12 article titled “Suddenly, ‘Schumerland’ is the place to be.” The article discusses how the anointment of Sen. Charles Schumer as the next Democratic leader is raising the stock of his former aides who now work in the influence industry.
Mr. Abel, who worked for almost five years in senior positions for the senator, tells The Hill that everyone wants to know how the impending power shift will change the Senate landscape. “There was a lot of that activity over the last week and I think that folks are looking at what the Senate is going to be like in 18 months or so. Certainly there was some interest in figuring out what will be the agenda and how will a change of leadership impact that agenda.”
