Overview
(October 19, 2016, Washington, DC) — The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has named Steptoe a Top Performer for 2016. Steptoe was recognized at LCLD’s seventh annual membership meeting on October 6, which honored all members for their commitment to improving diversity in the legal profession.
According to LCLD, all organizations named Top Performers this year went above and beyond to participate in LCLD and support its mission of creating a more inclusive legal profession. The organizations nominated 2016 Fellows, and almost all hosted 1L Scholars and participated in the Success in Law School Mentoring Program. The Top Performers also proved their investment in LCLD’s continued growth by hosting Compass Conversations or selecting 2016 Pathfinders, two of LCLD’s newest action items.
In March, Steptoe partner Brigida Benitez was named an LCLD Fellow and associate Alexis Early was named an LCLD Pathfinder. In June, Steptoe’s Patricia Palacios was named to LCLD Fellows Alumni Executive Council.
