Overview
The National Law Journal and The Wall Street Journal quoted Jason Weinstein in articles discussing why Rod Rosenstein has his work cut out for him now that he’s officially US Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ right-hand man. The National Law Journal article states that attorneys are looking to Mr. Rosenstein to bring a dose of stability to the US Department of Justice after the Senate confirmed him 94-6 as the deputy attorney general (DAG).
Mr. Weinstein, a former Justice Department official who worked with Mr. Rosenstein during the past two presidential administrations, tells The National Law Journal: “I can’t imagine a more difficult and challenging environment for someone to come in as DAG. I also can’t imagine a person who is more equipped to handle that environment than Rod.”
