How is the current net neutrality debate related to the swashbuckling exploits of Mission Impossible?
Politico Pro Technology quoted Pantelis Michalopoulos in a June 30 article titled “Legal Battle Looms in FCC Net Neutrality Debate.”
Mr. Michalopoulos says that, if the FCC’s current net neutrality proposal were to be adopted and go to federal court, attorneys from the FCC would have to walk a legal minefield in trying to defend the agency's latest version without running afoul of precedent from earlier court decisions. "The FCC would be a little bit like Ethan Hunt or Jason Bourne hanging from the ceiling and trying to navigate a thicket of laser beams where even a drop of sweat is enough to set off the alarms of precedent. It would not be mission impossible, it would be mission unlikely."

Mr. Michalopoulos was also quoted on the future of net neutrality rules in a June 29 Law360 article titled “Telecom Cases to Watch in the 2nd half of 2017.” The full text can be read at Law360 (subscription required).
