Overview
The Washington Lawyer profiled Steptoe partner Susan Esserman on her career-long commitment to education, mentoring, and public service. In June, Ms. Esserman was presented with the 2017 Chambers Women in Law Award in recognition of her “outstanding contribution to advancing gender diversity.” She is also the founder and director of the University of Maryland SAFE Center, which provides “survivor-centered and trauma-informed” services to victims of human trafficking.
