Lynda Zengerle Publishes Opinion Column in Forbes

Lynda Zengerle's Opinion column, "The Other Immigration Battle," published April 26, 2006, on Forbes.com, warns CEOs of the need to establish a comprehensive immigration plan to ensure that companies comply with current immigration and employment law.

In this column, Ms. Zengerle, head of Steptoe's Immigration practice, discusses the Mohawk case currently before the Supreme Court that could also affect the millions of undocumented workers and their employers. Legally employed workers are using the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act as a means of countering employers’ tactics. The Supreme Court may rule RICO a valid avenue for redress; the legal question hinges on defining "enterprise."
