Robbin Itkin Quoted in Article about General Motors' Response to Congress' Turnaround Plans in The International Herald Tribune
November 22, 2008Robbin Itkin was quoted in an article entitled "GM cuts output and jets as U.S. demands turnaround plans" in The International Herald Tribune on November 22, 2008. The article discusses GM's actions to fulfill Congress' turnaround plans in exchange for the $25 billion in aid. General Motors has said it would "cut production more and give up two of its controversial corporate jets."
The article reads: "The problem people see with giving them money is what control is there over it ... no idea whether the dollars would be sufficient to prevent the companies' failure and where the money would go," said Robbin Itkin, a bankruptcy lawyer with Steptoe & Johnson in Los Angeles.
