Lynda Zengerle Comments on H-1B Visa Petitions
August 28, 2009Lynda Zengerle was quoted in an article titled “Drop in H-1B Visa Petitions: Blip or Lasting Trend?” and published by Society for Human Resource Management on August 28, 2009.
The article addresses a recent decline in H-1B petitions and suggests that the drop-off in H-1B visas is not only because of the recession but also partly because the H-1B visa program has become too cumbersome and costly for many employers. “USCIS has managed to make this a nightmare,” Lynda said. “I’d hate to see the visa disappear because the government has made them so difficult to use,” so “organizations should make their displeasure known,” Lynda commented.
