Lucinda Low will present “Teaching and Practicing International Law in a Global Environment: Towards a Common Language of International Law” at the 88th Annual Meeting of the American Branch of the International Law Association on October 23 in New York City. She will discuss the importance of a transnational perspective on international law education and practice to find effective means to promote a rule-of-law culture that encourages respect for basic principles of international law. The panel discussion will also include Mahnoush H. Arsanjani, the former Director of Codification Division of the UN Office of Legal Affairs, José Alvarez of New York University School of Law, and Michael Scharf of Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
