Simpson and Abrahams on Functional Foods

An article entitled Functional Drinks: An Uncertain Future co-authored by Craig Simpson and Darren Abrahams, attorneys in the Brussels office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, features in the 2005/2006 Life Sciences Industry Report.  The article discusses various EU legislative initiatives which threaten to significantly restrict the market for drinks and food claiming to have specific beneficial effects on health.

For the second year running, the Life Sciences Industry Report covering “leading lawyers worldwide,” recommends both Simpson, Abrahams, and Steptoe for EU regulatory work.  The Report, one of the Global Counsel Handbooks series, is compiled annually following independent consultation of major multinational companies in the Life Sciences market regarding their approved counsel.
