Michael Miller Appears on Canada's Business News Network to Discuss SEC and DOJ Investigations of Toyota

Steptoe partner Michael Miller appeared on Canada's Business News Network show SqueezePlay to discuss investigations started recently by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Department of Justice (DOJ), and Congress into disclosures made by Toyota regarding apparent manufacturing defects leading up to the recent recall of millions of vehicles in the United States. Mr. Miller discussed what these investigations are likely to focus on, how counsel for Toyota might be preparing the company and its officers for these investigations, as well as the effect of  these inquiries on management of Toyota. He stressed the importance of Toyota management “getting it right”  when they testify on the Hill.
