Global Times Covers Steptoe Presentation on US-China Trade Relationship

Global Times featured Sue Esserman and Ed Krauland in a May 12 article titled “US Can Cut Trade Deficit with Hi-Tech Exports: Lawyer.” The article covered Ms. Esserman’s and Mr. Krauland’s comments on the US-China trade relationship made at a press conference for the opening of the Steptoe’s newest office in Beijing. Mr. Krauland said that the trade deficit will decline if the US begins exporting technology goods to China and expects an increase in trade between these countries.

Mr. Esserman noted that China’s GDP has continued to grow while other countries’ GDP shrank. She said, “The world economy has turned a corner, and China continues to lead the world economy.”
