American Shipper Quotes Stephen Heifetz on Air Cargo Security Regulations

American Shipper quoted Stephen Heifetz in an August 23 article titled, "Air cargo’s Y2K."  The article examined upcoming air cargo inspection regulations which may challenge the sector's ability to expeditiously move shipments. Mr. Heifetz commented on the screening and enforcement issues, saying, "My guess is that in the long run the enforcement regime will look less collaborative in part because of this infusion of newly regulated entities, and as time marches on the likelihood of some incident of non-compliance by the regulated industry becomes higher. All it takes is one high-profile incident [to lead to tougher enforcement techniques]."
