June 4, 2009Stewart Baker will speak on the topic of Homeland Security and Critical Infrastructure at the CFIUS: Meeting Enhanced National Security Review of Foreign Investments on June 4th in Washington, DC. The event will provide information on when to consider filing transactions with CFIUS in light of its increased flexibility in reviewing transactions which could concern national security. As Former Assistant Secretary for Policy for the US Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Baker will offer the government perspective on the CFIUS review process. He will discuss how the Department of Homeland Security looks at transactions and how review differs with other member agencies within CFIUS. He also will discuss practical issues triggering Homeland Security concerns about transactions and how to mitigate against those concerns.
