Former United States Senator J. Bennett Johnston will participate in the ninth session of the Brookings Energy Security Roundtable “Fueling the Electricity Sector: Natural Gas, Nuclear Power and Renewable Energy Resources” on Tuesday morning, December 1, 2009. The sessions include discussions on the risks, opportunities and choices facing the United States as it responds to dramatic changes in the energy security landscape.
The particular focus of this session will be the natural gas market and natural gas supplies, the possibilities for growth in the nuclear power sector, the current investment environment in energy technology with a focus on how it is affecting the renewable energy sector and the Copenhagen climate negotiations.
