Chuck Cole and Alice Loughran Speak at National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC) Annual Meeting

On July 28, Chuck Cole and Alice Loughran spoke before the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC) at its annual meeting held in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The topic addressed was "Federal Preemption Update: Tortbusters." NARTC includes both inside and outside counsel for the nation's railroads. The presentation demonstrated how recent cases and agency statements could be used to defeat common law tort claims asserted in railroad grade crossing cases.
