9th Annual Labor Relations Conference

(A Steptoe-Sponsored Event)
May 4, 2012
The Arizona Biltmore Resort, Phoenix, AZ

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Now in its 9th consecutive year, this valuable Conference will once again bring you up to date with NLRB, legislative, and legal developments in the field of labor relations, as seen and analyzed by our panels of corporate executives and their attorneys. This year we will hold our “Basic NLRA Training – Labor Law 101” – from 8-10 a.m. on the morning of the program, with special attention to union solicitation rules, employer property rights, regulation of social media, Board election and unfair labor practice procedures, and collective bargaining. The basic training course will be followed by presentations on resolved and pending issues at the NLRB, a panel discussion on legal and practical issues related to grass-roots employee surveys, and advice on responding to union organizing of “micro” bargaining units and to NLRB pressure for “quickie” elections. As always, this Conference will help you understand your companies’ legal rights and obligations, avoid surprises, and prepare for protected activities suddenly undertaken by employees or unions.
