Hot Topics in Transportation Seminar

On Monday, March 20, 2006, Steptoe's Transportation practice is hosting "Hot Topics in Transportation," sponsored by the Association of Transportation Law Professionals in conjunction with the DC Chapter of ATLP, the National Industrial Transportation League.

ATLP Past President David Coburn is moderating the Federal Preemption of Rail-Related Facilities panel, and Sam Sipe, representing BNSF, will appear on a panel on coal-rate cases.

Other topics include the NIMBY problem for rail transportation, current issues in motor carrier regulation, and the future of railroad rate cases at the Surface Transportation Board (STB), with the luncheon speech given by the Honorable W. Douglas Buttrey, STB chairman.
