When Experience Matters ®

Third Annual Labor Relations Conference

(A Steptoe-Sponsored Event)
March 31, 2006

By splitting off from the AFL-CIO, the "Change to Win" Coalition has raised the stakes in the area of union organizing activity — and the risks for employers. These two organizations are now desperately competing against one another to bring in, and retain, the largest number of members. We expect that 2006 and later years will bring greatly increased union activity, more corporate campaigns, and more NLRB election petitions and charges, as competing unions seek to prove their value to unrepresented employees.

Another result of this competition is that companies with unions already in their facilities will find themselves under additional pressure to improve employee wages and benefits.

The speakers in this conference have spent many years working with companies large and small to respond to union activity, to persuade employees that they are better off in a union-free environment, and to deal with union demands in organized settings.  In this conference they will share their experiences and knowledge with you.
