Phoenix Attorney Speaks at Auto Insurance Forum

Jon Neumann will be speaking at the Advanced National Forum on Auto Insurance Claims and Litigation at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel on Thursday, January 26, 2006.

In a medical-legal panel, "Separating the Wheat from the Chaff: Determining Causation and Appropriate Treatment in Low-Impact Injury Cases,"  he addresses the following aspects of establishing or refuting accident causation in low-impact accident claims:

• Using bio-mechanical engineers, accident reconstructionists, and other expert witnesses to evaluate injury causation;
• Determining type and frequency of treatment for soft tissue injuries;
• Attacking and defending the use of low impact soft tissue injury programs used by carriers;
• Using the best documentation;
• Forecasting future medical expenses;
• Calculating the total damages under the policy;
• Using IMEs and peer reviews: challenges and responses; and
• Noting red flags that indicate an exaggerated or non-existent injury.
