Chuck Cole, Alice Loughran Speak at National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel Winter Meeting

On March 5, 2007, Chuck Cole will give a presentation at the winter meeting of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel in Sea Island, Georgia. He will speak on "Post-Trial Motions and the Preservation of Error for Appeal."   

On March 7, 2007, Alice Loughran will speak on the implications of the recent Supreme Court decision, Sorrell, in a presentation, "Can Sorrell Play a Part, No Matter How Small, in Limiting Rogers?" Sorrell may provide a way for railroad lawyers to deal with another well-known Supreme Court dictum to the effect that railroad negligence, "no matter how small," can give rise to liability under the FELA. Ms. Loughran is also a program chair for this meeting.
