Intellectual Property in Entertainment & Media
June 25, 2008Rebecca Edelson moderated a panel at “Intellectual Property in Entertainment & Media,” presented by the State Bar of California Intellectual Property Law Section, on June 25, 2008. The panel, titled “Culture Clash II: IP Protection v. Free Access Debate,” discussed the tension between IP rights and free speech innovation, the interplay of aggressive intellectual property enforcement and creativity and competition, important litigation and FTC enforcement actions, and other issues pertaining to IP rights. Robert Kovelman also spoke on a panel titled "Power of the Patent" that addressed recent developments in entertainment patent law.
