Nicole A. Miller is an associate in the Phoenix office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP and a member of the Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, employee benefits litigation, labor law, and employment law.
Labor and Employment Law
Ms. Miller’s labor practice includes counseling employers in union avoidance and representing employers during anti-union campaigns. She also represents employers in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
Ms. Miller’s employment practice includes counseling and representing clients in litigation involving wrongful discharge, discrimination, and retaliation claims.
ERISA/Employee Benefits
Ms. Miller defends employee benefit plans governed by ERISA. She has defended plans from claims for medical benefits in federal court.
Commercial Litigation
In her commercial litigation practice, Ms. Miller has represented commercial entities in property disputes against the state and the federal government, defended businesses against tort claims, and defended insurers in matters involving allegations of bad faith.
