Timothy M. Strong is a partner in the Phoenix office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP and a member of the Litigation Department.  His practice focuses on litigating complex commercial disputes and insurance coverage and bad faith matters at both the trial and appellate levels.

Complex Commercial Litigation
Mr. Strong represents corporate clients in a broad range of commercial litigation matters.  His experience includes litigating commercial and international contract disputes, trade secret claims, business torts, environmental matters, and class actions.  He has successfully tried contract cases in federal and state courts, and successfully obtained summary judgment in many other cases.

Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Litigation
Mr. Strong also represents insurers in insurance coverage and bad faith matters, including class actions.  This experience includes litigating claims for contractual and extra-contractual damages under commercial, workers’ compensation, automobile, homeowners, fidelity, and personal umbrella insurance policies; defending insurers’ institutional claim-handling practices and use of claim evaluation software; and providing coverage advice and other compliance counseling.
