Stephanie Morris Carmody is an attorney in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the Intellectual Property group. Her practice focuses on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, with particular emphasis on trademark matters.

Ms. Carmody counsels clients in a wide variety of industries on all aspects of domestic and foreign trademark law, including the acquisition and protection of trademark rights, analysis of conflicting marks, strategies for enforcement of trademark rights, and prosecution of applications for registration of marks in the US Patent and Trademark Office and coordinating registration in foreign trademark offices.  Ms. Carmody has litigated trademark opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
