Calvin H. Cobb is of counsel in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Corporate, Securities and Finance practice group and the Litigation department.

Mr. Cobb's practice primarily focuses on corporate and securities law.  He has for many years rendered corporate advice to numerous business corporations and non-profit organizations.  He has represented clients in a broad range of corporate and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private sales of securities.  He also frequently serves as counsel in corporate and securities adversary proceedings (trial and appellate litigation, arbitration, Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) administrative), including, for example, hostile takeover, proxy contests, securities fraud, broker/dealer and investment company compliance cases, bankruptcy and corporate reorganizations.

Mr. Cobb occasionally serves as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the Municipal Securities Regulation Board.  He is a Trustee of the Foundation for Middle East Peace and the Naval Historical Foundation, and also is a past president of the Navy League of the United States.
