Jody A. Cummings is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Regulatory & Industry Affairs Department.
Mr. Cummings advises clients and litigates on various aspects of federal Indian law, including gaming, tribal recognition, religious freedoms, and environmental concerns. His practice also covers a range of complex commercial disputes, toxic tort litigation, and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Cummings was an active member in the Columbia Human Rights Law Review and President of the Native American Law Students Association. He is also an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.
