David Matthew Fragale is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the firm's Litigation Department.
White-Collar Criminal Defense
Mr. Fragale's practice is primarily devoted to white-collar criminal defense matters. He has defended corporate and individual clients at virtually all stages of state and federal criminal proceedings. Mr. Fragale also has significant experience in representations involving Congressional inquiries, internal corporate investigations, and a variety of federal and state agency investigations, including investigations led by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, and the Office of the New York State Attorney General. Among the issues encompassed by these matters are securities and accounting fraud, money-laundering, and bribery.
Recently, Mr. Fragale participated in the firm's successful defense of former Tyco general counsel, Mark A. Belnick.
Additional Experience
Mr. Fragale also has experience in administrative proceedings concerning issues such as antitrust, natural resources, and transportation. His work on such matters focuses on complex statistical, financial, and accounting analysis.
