Ryan T. Jenny is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Litigation Department.

Mr. Jenny's litigation practice encompasses a broad range of employment matters, with a special emphasis on ERISA and employee benefits.  Mr. Jenny has defended against ERISA breach of fiduciary duty claims, claims for benefits, prohibited transaction claims, Section 510 discrimination and unlawful termination claims, nondisclosure claims, decrease of accrued benefits claims, and ERISA-preempted state law claims.  He also has defended multiemployer plan trustees against claims arising under the Labor Management Relations Act (LMRA).  Additionally, he has represented employers in employment-related matters including discrimination litigation (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, ADEA, ADA, state law), wage and hour actions (FLSA), and labor relations (NLRA).

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Jenny worked as an associate at a prominent New York law firm and served as a law clerk for the American Psychological Association's Legal and Regulatory Affairs Department in Washington DC, where he focused on professional licensure and legislative issues.
