Zoi Sazaklidou is an associate in the Brussels office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. Her practice focuses primarily on European Community (EC) law, with a particular emphasis on competition law. Her recent experience includes acting for a major Asian airline in the Commission’s investigation into price-fixing in the air cargo sector; assisting clients in connection with the European Commission’s inquiry into the business insurance sector; providing competition law compliance advice to a variety of trade associations and individual companies; advising companies in relation to multi-jurisdictional mergers; and providing European law support to the plaintiff of a private action for damages for competition law infringements in the Dutch courts.
Before joining Steptoe, Zoi trained with the Financial Services Unit and the Transport Unit of Directorate General Competition of the European Commission in Brussels.
