Martin Schneiderman is a partner in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, and his practice is focused on health care litigation with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical benefit management (PBM) industry and issues of interest to the nursing home business. He also litigates and consults in labor matters, primarily on personnel policies and equal employment opportunity litigation. His experience includes assisting companies in handling affirmative action programs, OSHA, and AIDS in workplace controversies.
A substantial portion of Mr. Schneiderman's practice is devoted to commercial and government contract matters, including general consulting and litigation before state and federal courts, arbitration panels, Boards of Contract Appeals, the Government Accounting Office, and the Claims Court. He provides representation on an array of mixed government contract/disability/employment matters, such as the Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, Service Contract Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and Davis Bacon Act. Additionally, he has served as Vice Chair of the Socioeconomic Subcommittee of the American Bar Association's Section on Public Contract Law.
For a number of years, Mr. Schneiderman, as an adjunct Professor at Georgetown Law School, taught courses on litigation focusing on Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.
