Andrew Schütte is an associate in the London office of Steptoe & Johnson, where he is a member of the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance group.
Insurance and reinsurance disputes, including arbitrations, court proceedings and ADR, form the core of Andrew's practice. He has been involved in many of the high profile disputes that have affected the London market in recent years including film finance, the PA spiral, the "Aon 77" (Bonner v Cox) case and Hurricane Katrina. He has particular experience of insurance and reinsurance of the energy sector.
Andrew also brings his experience of insurance and reinsurance contracts and disputes to bear in advising on dealing with claims and/or inspections of records before disputes arise, drafting (re)insurance contract wordings and conducting risk audits for clients.
