Alison Wallace is a Partner in the London office of Steptoe & Johnson, where she heads the successful Employment practice.

Alison has over 30 years of experience in contentious and non-contentious employment issues, including a broad practice advising private and public employers on internal policies, procedures and substantial general employment issues including reductions in force; conducting employment tribunal and high court proceedings in respect of terminations and restrictive covenants, discrimination.  A large part of her work focuses on redundancy projects and senior executive issues, including boardroom disputes, termination packages and executive remuneration.

Alison advises on employment issues relating to transactional work and business transfers, outsourcing and insolvency issues, as well as related tax and immigration matters.  Pensions and benefits, are also within her practice area.

Clients regularly seek her advice on international transactions and where foreign businesses are setting up in the UK for HR support & compliance.

Alison is a qualified mediator and regularly provides in-house training for clients at the senior level.  Alison lectures on a variety of employment topics and is a well regarded specialist.

Alison is an active member of the Labour & Employment Practice Group of Lex Mundi, the world's leading association of independent law firms, of which Steptoe & Johnson is the Washington DC member. This membership provides the firm with global reach & access to legal resources that enhance her ability to serve her clients' employment needs round the world.
