Mr. Ruga is an associate in the Century City office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP.  Mr. Ruga has extensive experience in litigating intellectual property claims, including actions for copyright, trade secret, trademark and trade dress infringement. Mr. Ruga is involved with anti-counterfeiting programs for several apparel companies and regularly interacts with law enforcement and private investigators to protect his clients' rights.

Mr. Ruga also has represented several clients in a variety of entertainment-related disputes, including defending a director in a defamation action, representing a director in a declaratory relief action to clarify several parties' rights in a film, and representing a studio in an accounting and copyright infringement lawsuit.

Mr. Ruga regularly publishes articles and provides commentary to the press on emerging issues in the intellectual property field.
