Vanessa J. Owen is an associate in the Century City office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the Intellectual Property Group.  Ms. Owen focuses her practice in the procurement and enforcement of intellectual property rights. She has substantial experience providing opinions related to patentability, validity and noninfringement.  She also provides client counseling on issues regarding the acquisition and/or licensing of intellectual property; IP portfolio management, and strategy for IP development. 

Ms. Owen is a registered patent attorney and has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting, both domestic and foreign, patent applications in a wide range of technologies including:
