Ashley K. Handwerk is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the Litigation Department.

Ms. Handwerk’s practice involves advising clients on employment issues in a wide range of topics, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, state wage and hour issues, employee handbooks, employment agreements, termination of employees, and discrimination laws.  She additionally engages in litigation involving administrative charges before both federal and state agencies.

Prior to joining Steptoe, Ms. Handwerk practiced in Boston, Massachusetts.  She participated in lawsuits involving large commercial disputes before both state and federal courts.
