Eric Dubé is a non-attorney technical and regulatory analyst in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Regulatory & Industry Affairs Department.  Beginning in the biotechnology industry, he has over 17 years of technical and scientific experience.  Prior to joining Steptoe in 2006, Mr. Dubé worked as a consultant for nearly six years at one of the nation’s premier environmental consulting firms supporting toxic tort litigation, assessing exposure and human health risk to chemicals at hazardous waste sites, and conducting product safety evaluations.

Currently, Mr. Dubé’s work focuses on assisting clients in developing regulatory strategies to meet data generation and risk assessment requirements. On-going and recent projects include working with the antimicrobial industry to develop and implement risk assessment techniques to regulate a group of food contact products, advocating improvements in certain regulatory test methods, and coordinating a study to evaluate exposures to a wood preservative from use of pressure treated wood.  These activities involve Mr. Dubé working closely with trade associations, clients, consultants, and the staffs of several agencies.
