Fiona Laurence is a Senior Associate in the London office of Steptoe & Johnson, where she is a member of the Litigation Department.

Fiona has extensive experience in commercial litigation, regulatory and investigative matters, acquired in both the private and public sectors.

Before joining Steptoe, Fiona practised for several years in the commercial litigation departments of Slaughter and May and Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, then as head of the litigation and regulatory team at a major UK Public Authority.

In addition to general commercial litigation, Fiona's experience includes banking and insurance disputes, professional indemnity claims and worldwide freezing and other injunctions. She has also handled many regulatory and criminal investigations, as a prosecutor as well as and on behalf of defendants. She has considerable experience of judicial review, administrative law, local government matters and public inquiries.
