Jill C. Maguire is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the Litigation Department.
Ms. Maguire works with clients across a spectrum of industries – from financial services to the railroad industry. She represents clients in matters in state and federal courts throughout the country and before arbitration panels. Ms. Maguire has litigated cases involving fraud, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and products liability claims. She has experience with cases involving state and federal statutes, including questions of preemption.
A former appellate law clerk, Ms. Maguire is active in the firm’s appellate practice. She has worked on briefs before the United States Ninth Circuit and several state appellate courts.
Ms. Maguire is also active in Steptoe’s pro bono practice. She represents a client in asylum proceedings before the Baltimore Immigration Court.
