Paul A. Gennari is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Intellectual Property group. Mr. Gennari’s experience includes litigation and counseling regarding intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent litigation.
He has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies in patent litigation matters involving a variety of technologies, including wireless communications, automotive power train and airbag control systems, injection molding, Internet commerce, industrial lighting, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Gennari also has extensive experience in evaluating and drafting patent and high-technology licenses. Mr. Gennari has significant experience with software, semiconductor, business method, and electro-mechanical patents.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Mr. Gennari practiced law at a prominent Washington law firm, where his work included intellectual property litigation and counseling.
Mr. Gennari also worked in the aerospace and power generation industry for seven years. He worked at General Electric Aircraft Engines and General Electric Power Systems for five years as a mechanical engineer, designing a testing aircraft engine and commercial power generation equipment, respectively. He also worked at United Technologies Pratt & Whitney as a mechanical engineer, performing engineering design and analysis of gas turbine power equipment.
